Big Ben... I mean.. Big Jack

Seriously, this is one of my favorite pictures of Jack. I could just eat him up! Cheer on those Steelers!

Cheerleader

I know I was Dr. Jon’s cheerleader on an earlier blog entry, but I have to tell you all again. I had my first appointment with Dr. Jon since switching from Salling & Tate. Let me tell you, Jon is by far the best dentist I have ever gone to. You can tell he really loves and takes pride in his profession. He takes time with each patient and explains everything as he does it. He is truly amazing. So all you Leland and Wilmington people, go visit Dr. Jon Ludwig. You will not be disappointed. His office is located right in front of Magnolia Greens.

Uncle Lee

Emma smiling at Uncle Lee over this Christmas Holiday

Jack sitting with Uncle Lee in 2005

My sweet Uncle Lee passed away this morning from a massive heart attack. He was such a big-hearted, loving man who thought the world of his family. He was a well educated man who inspired many of his students. He was the most amazing chef. I will truly miss our 7 Fish meal for Christmas Eve. I hope we can keep the tradition alive and make him proud. Uncle Lee did not have any children of his own, so he treated my children and I like we were his own. He was very much loved and will be missed greatly.

Magical

The trees along the beach at Fort Fisher, NC are worth seeing. The way they look gets me every time I see them.

Emma Time

Climbing

Computer time. Start young!

Bowling with some friends.

Playdate with Griffin. Isn't he so cute?

Emma looking cute with a bow in her hair.

Michael and I got to spend some nice time with Emma this weekend since Jack was away. Boy, it is so easy only having one child! We were able to have a play date, go to dinner/bowling, play outside, and just enjoy sweet Emma. When Jack got home from his trip he told Emma, "Jack's home sweetheart!"

Jack went away this weekend! Let me tell you how much I missed him. A LOT... my stomach hurt. My parents took Jack to Charlotte to visit my brother and family. Jack had a wonderful time. Uncle Marco is the best!
When he got home on Sunday we decided to go roller skating for the first time with his friend, Brodie.

MLK

Monday was MLK Day and of course banks had off. The kids and I went to the "free" day at the aquarium, to the beach, and met some friends for lunch. It is amazing to me that we were at the beach on Monday and it snowed on Tuesday!

Loving the Snow

Work closed early for both Michael and I yesterday. Home we went to get dressed for the snow. Jack thought it was pretty cool having two socks, two pants, and two jackets on. We found that boogie boards worked just as well as sleds. The kids enjoyed themselves tremendously. Though, Emma and I got too cold a little faster than the boys! I think my skin has goten thin living in the warm south for 12 years. As you can see from the pictures, Jack caught snowflakes on his tongue, played football with a neighbor, made snow angels, went sledding, and of course ended the day with hot cocoa & cookies.

Who Said?

Who said you have to be in the North for snow? It just started snowing here!!!!! I am so wishing I could leave work now so I can see Jack and Emma play in the snow. I just called daycare and they have the kids outside and are taking pictures for me.

TuTu

Salem had her 3rd birthday party at a dance studio. It was an all girls party and it was perfect. One of the best parties I have gone to. Look at the tutu. Before going to the party, I was thinking what is my one year old going to do.... be shy and want to be held. I couldn't have been more wrong. Emma went back with all the other girls to get dressed in their cute outfits. She then was the first one to walk the runway. She also was the last one to get out of the blow-up jumpy thing. I actually had to pull her out of it. She was all smiles. Thanks Ali for a great party.

Brother and Sister

Last night was a great night in the Snyder house. Both kids were in really good moods and played really well together. I am always grateful but especially last night to be their mommy. They bring me such joy. At 7pm, Michael took Jack to a wrestling match. Michael used to be a wrestler and has already shown Jack plenty of moves. Well, the wrestling down here is the South is horrible... does not compare to Yankee wrestling.

Puzzle Man

Our little man has become pretty good at pulling puzzles together. Here he is after completing his power ranger puzzle.

My mom and Jack holding hands before the Steelers game. Sure was a great game!
On our way to school today, I ended a sentence to Jack, like this: Ok pumpkin. He looks at me and says, "ok Jack-o-lantern!"

Almost in tears over baby clothes

A friend of mine is expecting her third child. She already has two boys and the new little one is going to be a girl. I offered her my baby girl clothes to use since I am pretty sure there will be no more babies for us. However, Michael and I said we would wait till Jack is in Kindergarden until we made a final desicion. Two kids in daycare is a secound house payment for us. So last night I got all the girl clothes out and was looking through them. God, they were so little and so cute. It made so sad looking at them. I kept saying to myself and Micheal... are we sure we are done. I was feel like I would never get the clothes back if I gave them to my friend (not that Katy is that type of person. She is very caring and I know would give the clothes back to me). I just felt like I was shutting the door on having another baby. Anyway, I just spoke to my friend and the plan is for her to wear the clothes hard. No to worry if they get messed up, but to check with me after she is done using to them to see if I want them back.
Another story- Jack asked me what I was doing with the clothes. I told him I was giving them to Nate's mommy because she was having a little girl. Jack said, "what is Nate naming her?" Not what is Nate's mommy and daddy naming! I told him that I do not know. Jacks said, " I think they should name her Jellybean." There you have it... Nate and Tanner will have a baby sister named Jellybean.... As a nickname!

Wind in my face

I wish I had a picture of Em but I will just tell you the story. Her daily report card said... Emma loved being outside today, as always. Every time the wind would blow, she would tilt her head back, feel the wind in her face and hair, and just SMILE. How sweet. What a great feeling that is.
Today at school, they are reading Blueberries for Sal and are making blueberry muffins.
The kids are "going on a bear hunt" and having a picnic tomorrow at school. Yes I had to pull the going on a bear hunt song up on the computer so I could sing along with Jack.

As Promised

I promised months ago to get you a video of Emma driving her tractor. Hopefully by age 16, she will drive better!

No Manners

I don't know what it is but my kids love standing and dancing on our coffee table.

Water Balloons

Jack calls Emma's butt... water balloons. Isn't that funny? However it is so true. Her bottom looks like two nice water balloons that you could just pop.

Oh to Grandma's house we go!

Happy New Year everyone! The kids rang or should I say banged pots and pans in the new year. Michael and I spent our New Years Eve at Bone Fish, shopping, movie, and watching the ball drop. Can you believe I stayed up til midnight? Yeah I can't believe I did it either.
Yesterday (New Years Day) was all about relaxing and eating the Yankee tradition... pork, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes.
