Party at school

The famous Nanny with Elizabeth, Jack and Brodie.

Isn't he handsome!

Isn't she beautiful!

Dinner with my buddies

The Christmas party at school was wonderful. The kids gave us a collage of wonderful pictures of them at school. And of course it had to be famed in gold macaroni! We enjoyed dinner, decorating gingerbread men, a visit from Santa, gifts, and GREAT singing.

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas party at school. Watch these videos. I know you will smile.

Christmas Take 1

Santa was so good to our family this weekend. Saturday night we had a nice dinner out and then went to Mayfaire to see the fake snow. Mayfaire has two fake snow blowers going at night time and the kids thought it was wonderful. At home we got our Christmas PJ's on and got the cookies, milk, and carrots ready. On Sunday, our first Christmas, there was more then enough gifts for everyone.

Aunt Shannon's mom, Peggy, bought Jack this pretend pizza for Christmas. He opened it and yelled, "I love it!" He had to bring it to school today to show everyone.

Anna, Jack, Emma, and Cade at daycare in their PJ's

Today at school they are having a slumber party. I had to dress them in PJ's so they would be ready to watch the polar express, drink coco, and eat cupcakes. Sure wish I was a kid again.

Christmas on December 21st?

Yes Santa is coming to our house this weekend. When Jack and Emma wake up at 6am, hopefully not any earlier.... Santa would have ate the cookies and delivered the presents. We are having Christmas early since we are going back to PA for "real" Christmas. There is no reason to bring all the presents back to PA then to turn around and drive them home. So the kids think they are special to have TWO special days.

Hockey Goalie

This is how our son sits ALL the time. I guess we know what position he could play in ice hockey. The sick thing about how he makes his knees go like that is that he loves jumping high in the air and landing in the position. Yes, I can see you face now going OHHHHHH. He jumps in the bathtub and lands like this. And most times he gets his legs out at more of a 90 degree angle!
The other night Michael and I were talking about Jack's sitting position and I said, "If he keeps doing this when he gets older, we might need to get him checked out by a doctor. He could be missing something."
Michael laughs and says, " that is the difference between a mom and a dad. I was just about to say that it will be very useful if he is a wrestler."

Both of you... look at the camera!

Jack: Come on Emma just look at the camera
Emma: Let go of my arm, please

It is so hard to get both kids to look at the camera at the SAME time.

Jack received this message from Santa Claus this afternoon. I guess Santa really has been watching Jack and knows what he wants for Christmas!

Breakfast with Santa

I made the kids sit by the tree before getting to go have breakfast with Santa. Emma had me cracking up this morning... she loved the noise her shoes made on the floors.

Here they are on the carousel

Emma DOES NOT like Santa. She cried all three times he came over to the table.

Hippo

My Uncle Lee sent the kids cards last night. I guess Jack now thinks Emma wants a Hippo!

MawMaw,
I want to make a snowman and snow balls when I come visit you.

Holiday Parade

The men stayed home to watch the Steelers WIN and mom and I took the kids to the parade downtown. Now I can't believe my little Emma. Usually she is running around or wants to be held by me. Well, she sat (like the picture above) for one hour and fifteen minutes. Holy Cow! We made hot coco and popcorn, plus got plenty of candy tossed at us, so both kids ATE.

Enchanted Airlie

Gamma, Pop-Pop, Michael, Jack, Emma, and I went to Airlie Gardens. What a great Christmas event. We got to sit on Santa's lap. Jack asked for a skim board and a skate board. Emma DID NOT want to sit with Santa, but liked looking at him. Airlie has trains set up inside and out, Christmas music, and LOTS of Christmas lights.

Aquarium

Aquarium trip on Saturday!

Oh Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree this weekend and the kids were a big help putting all the ornaments up. Here are pictures of our tree and our fireplace with our homemade stockings (thanks Gamma) and our nutcrackers that my Aunts and Uncles bought me throughout the years.

Sweet Mom

Each year I’m extra happy on your birthday;
Your day reminds me of God’s gift to me--
A mom who gave her all to raise me right,
A mother like the one I want to be.

(I found this poem written by Joanna Fuchs)

Happy Birthday Mom! You are not only my mom but my best friend. I love you so much!

Joy

For the second day in a row we were able to run downstairs and open our advent calender for a piece of chocolate. Counting the days down to Christmas. I love this time of year. All the holiday activities, family gatherings, and the joy on my children's faces when we talk about HOHO. We went this past weekend to Wrightsville Beach Park to see Santa. Emma was passed out in the car, so hopefully this weekend at Airlie Gardens she will get to sit on Santa's lap. Enjoy the pictures of my handsome Jack.

Happy 4th Birthday Brodie

Jack's best buddy turns 4 today. His mommy is picking both boys up from school today to head to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate.
