Without

Jack with three other boys in the neighborhood. I think there was 3 other families there with us from the neighborhood... lots of kids... lots of fun.

What do people do on weekends that do not live by the beach? I ask myself that every time I am at the beautiful ocean. Life WITHOUT the beach... no thank you.

Friends

Salem, Walker, Addison, Emma and Jack

Addison and Emma

Our friends, Chris and Chelsea Dale (with Addison), came for a weekend visit. They invited us to their hotel pool for a swim and then out for dinner. We had a wonderful time and the kids sure enjoyed playing with each other.

Opening Game

Last night was the opening game to the Wilmington Sharks baseball season. My parents and I took the kids. We always have the best time at those games. And even in the heat, there is always a great breeze!!!

Coach

Coach Brian and Jack at the pool. Jack can swim the whole length of the pool with no help. I don't think I could even do that! He has had a great two weeks of lessons and hanging out with grandma. Tomorrow is his last day.

Backyard Fun

The Best Date

Saturday, Michael and I had a big date planned. We drove up to Raleigh, checked into our hotel, ate at PF Changs, shopped, and then went to a hockey game. What an awesome sport! Thanks Mom and Dad for watching the kids. It was the best date.

Concert with Joz

Friday night we went to the riverwalk downtown to hear a live concert. Joz, Michael's co-worker and Jack's buddy, was there. Jack loves Joz!

Where He Go?

Michael and Jack are driving away this morning so Jack can be dropped of at Grandmas to then go to swim classes.
Emma is in my arms watching them leave. She says to me "Where He Go"? I said he is going to swim classes. Oh the cry she let out was so sad.

What is going on in our neck of the woods.
-Jack started his two week swim lessons at UNCW yesterday. He is staying with my mom for these two weeks since the classes are at 11am. I was able to get out of work this morning for a bit to see him. Boy, I am so proud of him.
-I think the kids miss being together all day. When I picked Emma up from school, I asked her if she wanted to see Jack... he is home? She replies with at "Ah huh" and quickly gets into her seat.
-Emma is saying a lot of new words and is being cuter than ever.
-Michael and I got tickets to see the Carolina Hurricanes vs the Pittsburgh Penguins Hickey game this Saturday in Raleigh.
-If any of you Wilmington blog readers are looking for a house or know someone that is, let me know because I have the house for you.

Losing it

So I did not take the bottle from Emma (she would get milk first thing in the morning and at bedtime) until she was 19 months. She just loved her milk...and her pacy. Well maybe I was not ready to let go. Emma has lost 4 pounds since I took the bottle away and is having no problem going to bed without her pacifier. And look how long my skinny (well not yet) little girl's hair is getting!

We got beach pictures taken of us this weekend. The plan was for most of them to be of the kids and a few of us as a family. Well there was really only a FEW of us as a family. Sadly parking was horrible because there was a wedding going on. So Michael dropped us off and we started without him. 10 minutes later, he came out saying he still could not find a spot... I was able to talk him into staying for a few pictures before he ran off so we did not get a ticket. I can't wait to see these pictures of the kids. I am going to have to wait a few weeks, but when I get the online site, I will let you guys know.

Photos

More photos from Mother's Day. I know, I know that the princess bathing suite needs to go in the hand-me-down box. Her tatas are coming out if it! Ha!

Remember

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I deleted all the pictures from the Snyder's visit. WELL... I deleted them from the camera by accident, but not before I put them on the computer at home. Silly me.
Along with getting flowers sent to work, Grandma Snyder got this great picture framed for Mother's Day.

I'm the lucky one

The kids sent me Lillies (my favorite) to work yesterday for Mother's Day. The delivery guy came in and of course every lady was wondering who the flowers were for. It was me. I was the lucky girl.

No More Pacifiers!

We have this book at home and it is super cute.

Jack never used a pacifier and that was our plan for Emma. However she came six weeks early and was in the NICU for a week, the nurses there used a pacifier with her. Emma is now 20 months old and LOVES her pacy but it was time to get rid of it. I was so nervous to get rid of it but she has gone 2 days without it. I am so proud of her.

Party and Pool

Happy first birthday Griffin!!!!!

After the party it was pool time.

Beaufort

We started the morning out watching Michael run a 5K race and then going to see Brodie play a soccer game. These boys are such good buddies.
Then we headed to Beauford, NC for a wedding reception. It was our first time there and it was beautiful. What a nice coastal town.
Beauford was having a boat festival. Teams were to make boats in 4 hours and then sail them.

Jack had a good time sailing his own boat.

We walked the town and got ice cream.
We did some shopping.
We got in trouble.
We enjoyed ourselves on the deck while looking at the beautiful view. We actually saw a wild horse on the island across the way.
Here is Emma rocking.
We had a wonderful day!

Mayfaire

Show all

Friday night we enjoyed the first concert at Mayfaire. Mom packed us a picnic and met us out there. They had free a hayride this year.
