Pop-Pop Ray's Sweetheart
Pop-Pop Ray (My Grandpa on my mom's side/ Emma's Great grandpa) gave her his football charm. In the old days guys would give the necklace to their girlfriend to wear. Since Emma's middle name is named after him and she is his sweetheart, Pop-pop Ray thought Emma should have it. The "W" at the top is for Winber High and on the bottom is his last name, Torquato. Emma loves wearing her new necklace. If I would let her, she would wear it day and night but she needs to be careful with it... is it from 1941.

Softball
Saturday morning started off with some donuts with Pop-Pop. Then it was off to watch Michael play in a charity softball tournament. He hit two home runs(1 over the fence and 1 inside the park) and had a nice diving catch. He had the biggest cheering section there.... Emma was always waving at him and saying Hi DaDa. After the games we went swimming and had Chinese.

Steam Pot
One of my favorite meals is a steam pot. My mom made one for us for 4th of July. It was so yummy. I have a special request from the Flanagan's to make it when they come to visit us next month.
Steam Pot for 10
30.5 cups of water
1 cup old bay
2.5 lbs red potatoes (cut in half)
2.5 lbs kielbasa
15 ears corn
5 lbs large shrimp (I put extra old bay on them and let them sit for a few hours)
crab legs- can be frozen
Bring water and old bay to boil
Add Potatoes - cook 15 minutes
Add Kielbasa- cook 5 minutes
Add Corn- cook 5 minutes
Add Crab Leg- cook 3 minutes
Add Shrimp- cook 5 minutes or until pink

Grandma, Emma, and Madison
In their 4th of July swimming gear
We had a wonderful holiday. We spent the morning over at the pool, followed by a steam pot lunch. That evening we went to the neighborhood party. Wow what a party. Great food, a DJ, and awesome fireworks. Couldn't have asked for a better day.
